CMC hikes prices for optical discs by 10%

CMC Magnetics, the largest Taiwan-based maker of blank optical discs, has upward adjusted its quotes for the second quarter of 2010 by 10% to reflect increased polycarbonate costs, according to the company.
International prices for polycarbonate have risen from US$2.5/kg in February 2010 to US$2.7-2.8/kg currently, CMC pointed out.
