UNITED Parcel Service has announced that will join in a deal of Chinese shipping services with DHgate.com, which is described as "a leading China-based wholesale marketplace that enables global online transactions."
This would mark the Atlanta-based UPS its first wholesale e-commerce collaboration in China, reports American Shipper. UPS said a suite of integrated shipping tools is now available to users of DHgate.com through which they will have direct control of shipping options to calculate costs, request pickups, track shipments and review transit times.
The companies said buyers and sellers on DHgate could realise savings by eliminating the need for extra man hours necessary to make calls, process calculations, file documents and make order status inquiries.
